Quest for Hawaii Orders
It has come time for the Moss family to begin looking for orders. We began this journey as two sailors not yet a family. I started Recruit Training September 11, 1997 Stella began December 24, 1997. November 21, 1997 I transferred to Naval Aviation Technical Training Command in Pensacola Florida. Stella went to Airman apprenticeship Training at Great Lakes Illinois. She then went to Naval Air Station Barbers Point Hawaii. I Stayed in Florida until June 20, 1998. After Pensacola I went for more training at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, Oak Harbor, Washington. I stayed there until the 7th of July 1998 and finally went on to Naval Air Station Barbers Point Hawaii. It was there that the real journey bagan, I met Stella there, asked her to marry me then we bagan dating. After some time Barbers point was closed and we moved to Kaneohe Marine Corps base Hawaii. In 2002 we transfered to a place affectionatly known as "Great Mistakes" - Great Lakes Illinios. We are back to where it all began. we have come full circle. But as long as we have been here we have been deaming of Hawaii. The sunny days, lazy days on the beach, the tropical vegitation, the easy way of life. All of this is great but I think it all comes down to that is where we met and started our family, Hawaii is our home, where our adult lives began. So now that we only have 268 days left here we have started to look for new orders... Can you guess where we want to go?
HAWAII
I have six order selection cycles, two per month, to request a set of orders from a list of billets available. there are a few guidelines I have to follow, Are the orders: For my pay grade, use my prior training codes, did some one else already request the billet that is closer and would therefore cost less to send there, is it for sea duty? With this in mind, a list of 100 sets of orders for my profession gets whittled down very quickly after all of these questions are answered. Listed below are the choices I have after all these requirements are met. Three items, thats it!
And the first one is not even valid! it was listed by accident. Furthermore
I We do NOT want to go to Florida. so this cycle there are no orders to make requests for. But I am not worried YET, I still have five more cycles to sift through. So we go forward with life, one day at a time.

Papa Johns Pizza
Starting on Monday, December 06, 2004 if you live in North Chicago and you order a pizza at night from Papa Johns, chances are that I will be coming to your house for your delivery needs. That's right, I now have two jobs: The
US Navy and
Papa Johns Pizza Delivery Driver!
In other news, Penelope has officially started cutting her teeth. Two front top teeth. They have broken the gums but not come in all the way. She is also standing for long periods of time and climbing everything she can get her hands on. If you let her she can climb up all of the 22 stairs in our house all by her self.
As for Nikolaki, he is doing very well in school. The class has jobs that they rotate. They do the weather, check the mail, are the line leader and so on. He has made some new friends and is quite social with them. The other day the class had a fund raiser / field trip to the bowling alley. Niko scored 90 on the first game and 74 on the second. It was his first time and he had a lot of fun! The Next week we went to the Long Grove confectionery. It is a chocolate candy factory just 15-20 miles south of us. Stella, Niko, Penelope, and I along with the rest of the class and their parents, took a tour of the facility. It was pretty interesting.
Stella and I are just finishing up our last week of the semester at
College of Lake County. It has been so fun having a class together. I have really enjoyed the time in class with Stella, it made looking forward to Saturdays that much more fun. With our hectic mismatched schedules it was awesome having that little amount of time I knew we were going to have together. It was kind of like having a weekly date set up in advance.
